Spring Shoe Stylin

Mmm, spring. The transition season. Apart from the hay fever madness that strikes with vengeance, spring is the time for layering your look and having a gentle experiment with summer’s key trends and deciding yay or nay before the heat hits.

It’s also the time to put away heavy boots, pull out the pumice stone and start prepping. Or better yet, book yourself in for a pedicure! A new spate of heel shapes and hardware details have been viewed recently at the exhaustive NYFW and LFW and the keyword is diversity. Your trend choices this season are going to be wide and varying (hooray!) and completely wearable (double hooray!)

70’s PLATFORMS

Add attitude with retro style and modern updates such as lucite and chic hardware embellishments. Oh and 2+ colours are better than 1! This season’s colour block strives and succeeds in adding oomph to the plainest of outfits.

THE NEW GLADIATOR

Cut outs, laces and zips, the update on the gladiator style has a delicate vibe with its tough girl exterior –you’re looking for statement makers that redefine heels for the evening.

L-R: Rodarte, Marissa Webb

MOD SANDALS

Snakeskin, mesh, suede, buckles! The standard flat slide and sandal counterpart has upgraded itself from the ubiquitous Birkenstock with a ‘look-at-me!’ attitude.

L-R: Suno, Burberry

GRAPHIC & DEMURE FLATS

Textured finishes make classic styles fresh and embrace your inner or wannabe ballerina – it’s about keeping it slim and demure.

The Eileen and Skull ballet flats are both available for purchase HERE and HERE

FLATFORMS

The little sister of the platforms. The big base is the perfect opportunity to introduce some graphic details and embrace the weaving feature.
